Brassic Break-In
Brief:
D&AD
3D Design
As part of the D&AD New Blood Awards, I had a go at the Sky brief which sought out a new immersive experience using the latest technology to promote Sky’s services.
Rather than looking inwards at what Sky has to offer and creating something to use within the home, I took an outwards view to unleash Sky programmes into the real world with Sky Experiences, a series of real life events and activities available around the country to Sky VIP customers and based on the original and exclusive programmes viewers have access to at home.
The first of these is based on the Sky Max original series ‘Brassic’ which focuses on a group of so-called professional thieves, despite their plans often going wrong somewhere down the line. Playing on the popular escape room genre, the Brassic Break-In sees players attempting to rob an art gallery based in Hawley, the setting of the series, solving puzzles to enter the laser room before blowing open the office safe. Technology becomes a hidden feature of the experience by advancing the game when physical triggers are activated, automating the behind the scenes work.
