Influenced by fan projects and artwork related to Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, the third solo album from Hayley Williams, and the first to be released under her independent record label Post Atlantic, I wanted to create a lyric video for the song Good Ol’ Days.
Inspired by the Windows 95-esque theme of Hayley’s website, and playing on the 00s nostalgia of the Windows XP home desktop, the lyrics are displayed through the use of the various programs and features, whether it be the 3D text screensavers, reliving your first experience of Windows Movie Maker or using clip art within PowerPoint, these are accompanied by extra apperances from the classic games you used to spend hours playing.
Excitingly, Hayley’s official HQ Instagram account reuploaded the video amassing over 21,000 likes.
